Dennis Edward Donohoe

Dennis was born on January 12, 1935 in DesMoines, Iowa, to Dorothy and Leonard C. Donohoe. He grew up in Galesburg, Illinois, and graduated as valedictornian of his class at Corpus Christi High School, where he played varsity football, baseball, and basketball and attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

He attended Catholic University and graduated from Marquette University in 1957 with a degree in electrical engineering.

He married Susan Bruce on December 29, 1962, and they were married for 52 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leonard, and his sister Eileen.

He is survived by his wife Susan, his five children and their spouses, and thirteen grandchildren: Kathleen Brashear, Wesley, Julie and Mimi; Jane Kleymeyer (Alan) Cassidy, David and Kristen; Daniel Donohoe (Amanda) Emma, Audrey and Molly; Mary Calder (Chris) Charlie and Will; and David Donohoe (Gray) Daniel and Maggie.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Patricia, his brother-in-law Wally, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Community located at 5100 Plano Parkway West, Plano, Texas 75093.

Flowers will be received at Prince of Peace, or a donation can be made in Dennis' name to the North Texas Food Bank.
