Doris May Pulling Roberts, 87, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2011 in Plano, Texas. She was born in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, one of the youngest of eleven brothers and sisters, to Bertha and Albert Pulling.
Doris received her RN degree from Columbia University in New York City in 1945. She married Robert Nilblack Roberts in 1949 and they moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico. Her son, Douglas John Roberts, and her daughter, Pamela Byrd Roberts, were born in New Mexico.
Doris loved to dance and did a lot of country western dancing while living in New Mexico. When she moved to Dallas in 1998, she became very involved with the ballroom dancing scene and went dancing as many nights a week as possible. She was an active member of the Marilyn Meyers Dance Connections Club, Carrollton and other Senior Center Dance Clubs, and a former member of the Decorative Arts Society and the Cosmopolitan Club.
A memorial service and dance will be held on September 14, 2011 at the Auditorium at the Temple Emanu-El.
