

Age 54, passed away on April 16, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Born July 29, 1959 in Galesburg, Illinois to Edward and Marilyn (Lawless) Beckemeier. Jim is survived by his wife, Lisa (Brown) Beckemeier; sons, Jason Lawless and Michael Benton Beckemeier; Parents; brothers, William Beckemeier and wife Norma and Andrew Beckemeier and wife Tina. Jim was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and had been fighting this disease for almost five long years. His death came as no surprise to his family and friends and those of you who have been praying for him for years, nevertheless he will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones. It is because of Christ's victory, that the death of Jim Beckemeier has not overwhelmed us with despair but rather filled us with hope. Because Jesus died and rose, Jim too will rise again one day along with all the faithful. A visitation will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6 pm - 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10 am, also at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, with grave side committal to follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, The family has requested that any donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 ESV) Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” (John 11:25-26 ESV)
