Florence Irene Trenkle

88, of Pearland, Texas, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014. She was born on July 3, 1925 to Paul and Irene Zorn in Houston, Texas. She married Philip Bernard Trenkle on July 19, 1945 in Houston, Texas. As a Military family they lived all over the U.S. They moved to Grapevine in 1963, from Houston, before relocating to Pearland, Texas in 1971. They moved to Plano, Texas 2 ½ years ago. She was a loving mother of 6, devoted wife, and friend to many. She never met a stranger and was larger than life. Always beautifully dressed, she stayed active all of her years and enjoyed being with friends and family. Flo lovingly cared for many children as owner of the Jack and Jill Daycare in Pearland, Texas. She and her husband Phil owned and managed rental properties in Pearland, Texas. She loved to travel, and she took many trips throughout the U. S. and abroad with her husband Phil. They were also active members with an R. V. club. She was a devout Catholic and was active in Saint Helen’s Catholic Church in Pearland for over 40 years. Flo is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Phil Bernard Trenkle and five children: Bernie Trenkle, (Joyce); Terry Hanson, (Bill); Steve Trenkle, (Barbara); Joan Scott, (Ross); Mary Morgan, (David); and daughter-in-law, Tami. She joins her oldest son, Paul Trenkle in Heaven. Flo is survived by 31 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, a large extended family including all her siblings, 5 brothers and 3 sister, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Flo will be on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home from 6-8 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. The funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 9, 2014 St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alama in Plano, Texas .Burial will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
