Gloria Dianna Cavazos

22 avril , 195329 octobre , 2019

Gloria Dianna Cavazos, age 66 passed away on Tuesday October 29, 2019. Gloria was born Wednesday April 22, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Nora Hernandez and Pedro Hernandez.

Gloria Dianna Cavazos grew up in Dallas, Texas and was a mother to all. She was raised in a very tight knit, loving family. She was the 2nd of 8 children; Arthur Hernandez, Nora Cavazos, David Hernandez, Sylvia Slajda, Alicia Lancaster, Pete Hernandez Jr. and Danny Hernandez.

She graduated from North Dallas High School and went on to become an Escrow Officer in the real estate title business.

She married the love of her life and best friend, Jose Efrain Cavazos the year 1972 in Dallas, Texas. They later moved to Plano, Texas and shared 47 beautiful love filled years together with their beloved son Edward Cavazos. It is in Plano that she spent most of her days being a fabulous, loving mother and an even more amazing Grandmother!

Gloria was a loving, kind, genuine, nurturing and most beautiful soul you would ever meet. She was a friend to all and a mother to anyone that needed one. She lit up a room with her love and her love was palpable. She loved to sing and rejoice in the Lord! She was a story teller and loved to lament beautiful memories that were shared with her many loved ones.

She was a warrior in every sense of the word and her faith carried her though every journey, though many almost impossible. Gloria was a natural born leader. People followed her because of the light that exuded from her. She was an inspiration to all due to the strength that she exhibited. Even in her weakest moments she was stronger than most.

Gloria's favorite place to be was with her family, telling stories to her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She loved the beauty of the Texas Hill country with its fields of lavender. Her favorite movies were "Splendor in the Grass" and " The Five Little Pennies". She loved music and you could hear her sing her favorite songs " What a Wonderful World" and "How Great Thou Art".

Gloria touched all she met and will be greatly missed by many family and friends.

My dearest Cousin, how I shall miss you! I have such great memories of you and the cousins growing up, spending nights over, trying to learn how to dance, me driving you all around in my Mustang, laughing and enjoying each other's company. I am SO looking forward to that Great Day when we'll be together again! We can both ride the real Mustangs then!

I have heard in the past that you and I look very similar And we are two beautiful women. Until I posted the picture of you the other day, I finally saw the resemblance of you and I guess I was very fortunate to take after such a beautiful person like my cousin Gloria. My heart and soul are with you and I miss you very much. I know we didn't get a chance to talk that much the past 2 years but I want you to know you are always on my mind. I will see you again one day my Gloria. You enjoy yourself dancing in your purple butterfly dress and greeting all your friends and family up in heaven to

She was my mother-in-law, but she was more like my mom. She called me her DAUGHTER. I had the pleasure of spending 8 what seemed like very short years with mom. We sat for hours and talked on end about anything and everything under the sun. She was so easy to talk to and she comforted me in my time of need , and I in her‘s. She will be missed by so so many .... especially her husband, her son, myself her grandson AJ, her 7 siblings and MANY friends and loved ones. She is dancing in the sky with MORGAN now as well as her sweet nephew Joseph , her grandparents Ma and Pa , and so many others! It’s a wonderful thing. Can’t wait to experience it one day! Love you mom! MUCHO MUCHO
Until we meet again!

Gloria was such a loving woman. She always reached out to me when I was sick to keep my spirits up and was always sending her love and prayers. She was amazing in her fight for her health and loved her family unconditionally. She will be greatly missed.

My sister-in-law was a very thoughtful person. She took our daughter Lisa and Monica to their first Glamour Shot. We could always count on Joe and Gloria to be at every birthday. I will miss you dearly. Irene ❤
