Daughter of her late parents José Guadalupe Carrillo Pérez and Concepción Pizaña Carreón, she was born in Torreón, Coahuila, México. Sister of eight siblings. She always loved learning, even at a young age. She was so interested in going to school that to assist 1st grade, she told her dad that she will not wear shoes if that meant they could afford her books for school. She attended classes with no shoes for the first couple of months. She always loved to study and read and graduated from Medical School and a Ph.D. in Psychology.
Better known as Dra. Lupita, she brought peace and laughter to everyone who knew her. She danced to life and celebrated every birthday and holiday. She talked to any stranger as if they were life long friends, and language was never a barrier.
What she loved the most was to be a full-time Abue. She was proud of her grandson Dan and loved to watch him play soccer, sing, and see him grow into a little gentleman. She spent hours on end playing with Dan since he was born, helping shape him to the happy, joyful 5 year old child he is today. She was his best friend, patiently played with him for hours on end, nearly every day, like only someone filled to the brim with love and patience. She also dearly loved and was proud of her granddaughter Angie, who, as she said, is full of life and never stops to take a breath; she just keep ongoing. She loved to cook for her, sing to her, play cute games that would make here giggle just like when she would chase her around the house. She also loved Miguel Angel, although long-distance, she was looking forward to seeing him grow and get to know him and hold him.
She was married to Pedro Cárdenas Chávez for ten years. With whom they had two children: (+) Pedro and Guadalupe Cárdenas Carrillo. They remained best friends until the end.
Lupita was the mother of Lupita McDonald and the second mother to Michael McDonald. She loved them with strength and patience, like no one else. She taught them to celebrate life and teach them to pause in life for the right things.
Survived by her daughter and husband, Guadalupe McDonald and Michael McDonald. Grandchildren Andrew Dan, Angela Elizabeth McDonald. Also by Laura Alanis Obregón and her son Miguel Angel Alanis Obregón. Sister and closest friend Mary Carrillo and Pedro Cárdenas Chávez. Pets (+) Lucky, Rowdy, and Nala. Her seven siblings, nieces, and nephews in Monterrey, Mexico.
Today, all that is left to say is something she’ll tell us, “Vamos campeón, keep ongoing”.
