As a child he got to live in Georgia, and Illinois before returning to his native home of Texas.
As a middle child of six, Jonathan carried the quiet leadership of a firstborn and the empathy of a middle sibling. He had an older sister who always watched over him, a younger sister he fiercely protected, and three brothers who were his lifelong companions in mischief, growth, and strength.
Jonathan’s brilliance was subtle but undeniable- whether outsmarting you in a game of dominoes or chess, or navigating the complexities of life and business with calm and intention.
Jonathan was a quiet, hard-working, humble man. When he came to work in the family oil change business he started at the bottom, learning every aspect of the job from the pit up. He never expected to be handed anything, instead he earned respect through action, humility, and leadership. Along the way he learned and mastered the many business skills it takes to keep a company thriving. As General Manager of three locations, Jonathan treated every employee with fairness, every customer with integrity, and every task with intention.
Jonathan loved his family deeply. His greatest joy was being a father to Hailey, Nicole, and Maxwell. His time with them, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, and deep devotion.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, James Wilde; his sister Amy Wilde; and his grandparents: Geraldine and W.L. (Rusty) Lindemann, and George and Elizabeth Wilde. He is survived by his mother, Suzanne Wilde, of Plano; his children Hailey, Nicole, and Maxwell, and their mother Renee; his sister, Dianna Wilde of Austin, and children Maddox and Mylah; and his brothers: James Jr. “Jamie” of Plano and daughter Laurie Anne; Matthew and wife Angela of Prosper and daughters Sterling and Hayden; and Nicholas and wife Meridith of Princeton, and son Wyatt. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends and colleagues who will miss his steady presence and generous spirit.
A public viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on August 11, 2025.
