Marjorie Catherine Berquist

Marjorie Catherine Berquist passed away peacefully September 21st, 2016, in McKinney, Texas at the age of 94. She was born on April 23, 1922 in Detroit Michigan. She met her husband Robert when they were both employed at Timken Axles. They were married for 61 years and had 7 children. She was a devout Catholic and raised all of her children in the Catholic faith. They resided in Dallas TX, Westchester PA and New Port Richey FL.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her infant son Bobby. She is survived by six children; by daughter Nancy LaVerdure and her husband Moe and their children Maurice Jr. and his wife Kristi and great grandsons Grant and Grayson LaVerdure. Grandaughter Lisa Isinghood and great grandchildren, Dylan Isinghood, Mason Isinghood, Makenna Isinghood and Sierra Isinghood. Daughter Kathy Jennings and her husband John and their children Laura Stroupe and her husband Brandon and Chris Jennings, Daughter Elizabeth Berquist and her son R. Jason Crane and great grandsons Nolan and Adam Crane, by daughter Marjorie Holt and her children Timothy Michaels, Stacey Railey, Dennis Michaels and Terry Ellison, and grandsons Taylor Michaels, Regan Railey, Ryan Railey, and granddaughters Reese Ellison, Ashlyn and Isabella Michaels and great grandsons Beau Miller, Nash Miller, Drake Miller and Baron Miller, by son Michael Berquist and his wife Dianne and grandson Michael Berquist and his wife Katherine and great granddaughter Noelle, by son John Berquist and his wife Lori and grandsons Conrad and Evan. Also surviving is her sister Marie Gray of New Hudson, MI.

Marjorie was a devoted mother and homemaker and enjoyed playing Mexican Train and Rummikub with family and friends. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the St. Elizabeth Seton Quilt Ministry, 2701 Piedra, Plano, TX 75023
