

Miron Gubanski, aged 75, passed away on Monday June 13, 2022. Miron was born Saturday November 23, 1946, in Bydgoszcz, Poland to: Wladyslawa Gubanska and Jozefat Gubanski. He is affectionately remembered and will truly be missed by his wife, soul mate and best friend of 54 years, Mieczyslawa. Their children: Waldemar (wife Magdalena), Krzysztof, Katarzyna (husband Long) and grandchildren Thomas Gubanski, Kamil Gubanski, Natalia Gubanski, Angela Pham and Alexander Pham. Son Krzysztof who passed away in 2018 after battling with cancer.
Miron grew up in Bydgoszcz with his oldest sister Halina and older sister Urszula. Miron was fondly known by the nickname pimpus. As a child, he was a handy builder who ended up working side by side with his father, who taught him a lot. He ended up building custom fireplaces that were made from thick bricks, cement and sand. He would work very hard, walking each heavy item manually through many flights of stairs. At a young age, he would not only work hard but take care of his niece. He also belonged to the racing pigeons organization.
Miron grew up Roman Catholic and carried this throughout his life. He was very spiritual and passionate.
Miron met the love of his life Mieczyslawa, at age 18 and ended up serving in the military during the same time frame. During his active duty, he ended up sneaking out of the base many times and travel through multiple cities and going through train stations that were filled with military service members, who were also looking for him, yet he never got caught. He did all of this so he could end up seeing his love, only for ten minutes. You can say he was not only in love but also a true escape artist. At some point, a higher officer called him into his office and asked how did you ever pull it off?
Shortly after, he got engaged and got married the following year. In 1968, he completed his building engineer career. His true passion was to be a pilot, he loved anything that was up in the air. His hobbies were racing pigeons during his life in Europe. He loved to cook and bake. His interests were history, geography and mathematics. He built his own home in Poland, which he ended up leaving behind and moving to Germany in 1985, where he worked very hard at vineyards to provide for his family. During the three years stay in Germany, he began studying German, but then decided to move to the United States with the family. He attended school to learn English but shortly after, he formed a partnership and specialized in custom work including painting. He completely renovated his multi-story house and ended up utilizing part of the building for European Grocery store.
In 2009, Miron had a major stroke paralyzing his left side, which he never fully recovered. Overtime, it progressed into multiple diagnoses that affected his ability to live a normal lifestyle and constantly being dependent on oxygen supply, which weakened his immune system, causing chronic illnesses. During his passing he was home surrounded by family.
Miron liked watching movies. Some of his favorites were Sami Swoi, Jak Rozpetalem II Wojne Swiatowa He also liked watching and being up to date with National Geography. He enjoyed comedy shows where people tell tons of jokes and funny stories that make you laugh. He also enjoyed watching Summer and Winter Olympics and Soccer matches.
Miron’s family and friends will fondly remember him as a man full of jokes who enjoyed laughing and talking. A man who was always willing to help anyone with anything. A man who worked very hard for his family. A devoted, loving husband, father and grandpa who cherished his family and loved his beloved wife, children and grandchildren unconditionally.
A private family rosary vigil for Miron will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022
A Rosary Vigil will occur Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10:30 am. followed by a Funeral Mass will occur Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 11:00 am at St. Peters Church, 2907 Woodall Rodgers Freeway Dallas, Texas.
