Natividad "Naty" S (Sungahid) Dees, age 76, of Allen, Texas passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2018. "Naty" was born September 21, 1941 in Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines to Juanita Sungahid and Jeronimo Soon.
"Naty's" family memories of her are set on her motherhood. She loved every aspect of being a mother to her six children and she was always happy of all their achievements. She had an amazing love for her children. As well as her most cherished children was her most beloved husband, Rick Dees. She married her best friend and love of her life on July 9, 1968 at Subic Bay Naval Base in the Philippines. They were married close to 50 years. She was the wife of a Navy Chief for many years and was proud to serve as a military wife.
A portion of Natividad's motherhood led her to become a working mom with the Marine Corps Exchange for over 20 years at Pendleton, CA. She attended St. Jude Catholic Church and was very acquainted with Father Church and Deacon Ron Fejeran. She had many friends in the church community and was very loved by them all. She always gave to several charities. Her favorites were to the many Native Americans Charities and Boys Ranches.
"Naty" loved the ocean, lakes and rivers. She loved to watch her sons fish and could prepare any type of fish meal to everyone's taste. One of her passions was to cook Filipino or American dishes. She could crochet or knit almost anything and had two green thumbs! Every seed she ever planted grew! Her favorite plant was the money tree. She was known to her family as a master of gardening.
Natividad loved to watch classic movies and the all American big movie stars. Her favorite T.V. stars were Chuck Norris and Audie Murphy. When her grandchildren would scare her, she would holler out " Ay Kabayo!", which means horse. She never, never, never forgot anyone's birthdate...EVER! The love of her children and family was her greatest thing in life before anything else. She will always be remembered as a kind, caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother to the most precious gift God gave her-- Her Family.
