Peter Ethan Kise

Born in Syracuse, NY on March 7, 1941, he was the younger son of the late Mearl A. and Julia B. Kise.

He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School of Portsmouth, VA in 1959. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University, class of 1963, and a Doctorate in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, class of 1976.

He briefly taught engineering at Widener University and went on to have a long career as a systems engineer at Bell Labs, Mitre Corporation, and Sabre Systems.

Peter enjoyed amateur fossil hunting, home engineering projects, and had a lifelong passion for science reading and education.

Surviving with his wife of 51 years are brother John, daughters Alexandra and Catherine, and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in Peter’s honor to the charity of your choice.A graveside service will be held for Dr. Peter E. Kise on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11am at Fairview Cemetery, 2584 Lehigh Street, Whitehall, PA 18052. A luncheon will follow the service.
