Robert grew up in the Dallas area, graduating in 2003 from Hillcrest High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with Honors, at Texas State University in 2009, and was currently working on his Masters in Criminal Justice. Robert was a huge outdoorsman! He especially loved his family’s home in Angel Fire, New Mexico where he enjoyed snowboarding and hiking. He spent endless hours kayaking with his beloved dog Teva, hunting in Central Texas and enjoying the outdoors with his pack. Most of all, Robert was passionately devoted to his family and friends and will be sorely missed. Those who knew him well, knew he always approached life with every fiber of his being.
Robert is survived by his parents; his sister, Lauren; soul-mate, Holly Hughes; grandmother, Dr. Lillian Lockhart; aunt and second mother, Shari Campbell and husband Bryan; and cousins yet sisters, Kathleen and Lindsay; Uncle “Bubba” Dr. Brad Lockhart and wife Kathy; Uncle Alan Glen and wife Betsy, Uncle Robert Glen and wife Elizabeth; cousins Amanda, Alex, Shannon, Erin and Mac; beloved dogs, Scooby, Teva, Indi and Walker. Robert is also survived by his brothers in heart, spirit and soul; Raf, Phil, Josh, Jeff, Stevo and Brandon.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Dr. Robert Glen, Dr. Leroy Lockhart and Dr. Millie Glen.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey West Chapel on Saturday, May 22, 2010, with a reception following immediately afterwards.
