Teresa was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother, a cherished grandmother, and a loving sister. She shared nearly 58 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ruben J. Perez—a union grounded in love, faith, and enduring partnership. Ruben was her rock and the bond they had was unbreakable. Their love served as an inspiration to others.
Teresa had a passion to be a hairdresser. As a teenager, she would practice on her friend’s hair. She ended up going to cosmetology school in 1967. She owned a couple of beauty shops and then retired around 2006.
She was the proud and loving mother of daughter, Dannielle Reyes and son, David Perez, and her greatest joy was found in nurturing her family. As a grandmother, she was known as ‘Nane’ and has always been a constant source of warmth, guidance, and unconditional love to her 5 grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Teresa was the heart of her family. She led with kindness, patience, and a quiet strength that inspired all who knew her. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where countless memories were made and love was always abundant.
Teresa had a love for creating stories, crocheting, painting and traveling. She found her greatest joy in being with family—nurturing her children and grandchildren, celebrating life’s milestones, and offering her wisdom, support, and affection without hesitation. She also had a special place in her heart for all of her family and friends. She treasured them and always wanted to keep in touch with them to know she was praying for them. Her presence was a gift, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.
Teresa was also a devoted Christian whose life was a testimony to her deep and abiding faith. She was committed to spreading the gospel and lived out her beliefs daily with grace, humility, and compassion. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a guiding light to those around her.
Teresa will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and her passion for sharing God’s word. Her legacy of faith and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Teresa is no longer in pain and is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. She lived a life full of love, faith, and purpose, and her legacy will forever inspire us. We rejoice in the blessing of having loved and been loved by her and knowing she was looking forward to her reunion with our Angel Lisette in Heaven. We love and will miss her dearly.
