

Terry is survived by her children, Carlene and husband Pat Sanger; Sharon and husband Barry Roerty; John and wife Shirley Zwahl: William Lettier and partner Marta Buchbinder. Grandchildren: Mathew, Samantha, and Andrew Sanger; Van and Mary Roerty; Amanda, Allyson, Alexandra and Zachary Zwahl; step-grandchildren Kim and Kenneth Burke; and Cory Lettier. Great grandchildren Isabella, Adrian, Arianna, Jordan, Jaxson, Ayla, Max, Mya. Terry is preceded in death by her loving husband John (Jack); mother and father, John and Mary D’Alusio; brothers, Gene and Jack; and sister Myra Petrola.
Terry was born on May 30, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ where she resided until 1988. She graduated from Snyder High School, where she fell for a trumpet player named Jack. Terry and Jack married in 1957, after he completed two years in the Army. They were married for 40 years before Jack passed away. They loved to dance and socialize with friends.
Terry was known for her generosity, love of cooking and sharing food, creativity, strong opinions, and sharp tongue. She was also known for her beautiful blue eyes and stylish dressing. She felt strongly about God, country, and family. While raising her family in Jersey City, she was an active volunteer in St. Paul’s Parish and her community. Also in Jersey City, she worked as a credit analyst at Lightolier Corporation and always fondly, recalled her early years working at Bernie’s Soda Shop.
A funeral mass was held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church in Plano, Texas. Terry and Jack cared deeply about children. Jack was involved in the early days of establishing the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County.
