Walter Keith Wildman, known affectionately as Keith to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, at 83. Born on June 29, 1941, in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, Keith's adventurous spirit and loving nature left a lasting imprint on all who knew him.
Keith's journey led him from the classrooms of Brisbane Boys College to a fulfilling career that spanned the realms of building, timber, and real estate. His professional life was marked by a dedication to craftsmanship and a reputation for integrity. Keith's hands-on skills and resourceful mindset made him a respected figure in his field, and his contributions to the industry were significant and enduring.
Married to the love of his life, Karen Louise Wildman, on June 19, 1993, Keith found joy and purpose in family life. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a doting grandfather. Keith's legacy lives on through his children, Stephen and Amanda Wildman, Michael and Rika Wildman, Linda Wildman, Andrew Wildman, Richard Wildman, Laura and Craig Hersom, John and Kathy Lowe, Lisa and Kirk Geyer, and Julie and Michael Bailey. A man's man in every sense, Keith's interests were as robust and diverse as his character. He had a passion for building, not just structures, but also relationships and communities. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for fishing, crabbing, and horses. Animals of all kinds found a friend in Keith, whose nurturing and protective nature was a testament to his kind heart.

His commitment to his faith community reflected his overall approach to life: one of engagement, generosity, and unwavering support.
Those who knew Keith would describe him as handy, and always ready to lend his skills to a project or a person in need. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the world around him with curiosity and enthusiasm. Above all, Keith was loving—a man who embraced his family and friends with open arms and an open heart.
Keith's life was a tapestry of hard work, shared laughter, and enduring love. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, compassion, and an unshakeable zest for life that will continue to inspire his family and friends for generations to come.
