Angelina L. Najera, 107, was born on February 7, 1919, in Superior, Arizona, and passed away on May 9, 2026. She was a resident of Delano, California. Her long life will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, 707 Browning Rd, Delano, CA 93215-9747, on May 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary will follow at the same location on May 28, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal, 916 Lexington St, Delano, CA 93215, on May 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Committal Service will take place at North Kern Cemetery District, 627 Austin St, Delano, CA 93215, on May 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
The most beloved Angelina Najera joined her Lord and her heavenly family on May 9th, 2026. The extent to which she’ll be missed cannot be described in mere words. She lived a long and remarkable life and leaves behind wonderful and devoted friends and a loving extended family. She is survived by her four children Anita Zermeno, Cecilia Hernandez, Jesse Najera Jr, and John. She cherished her four grandchildren and grandsons by marriage as well as two very special great grandchildren. She passed peacefully in her cozy home where she certainly belonged. Her presence and light will be felt in perpetuity as her memory shines in our hearts like a diamond.
She was born in Arizona and made her life in California with her revered grandmother and family. She married our dear father in 1938. Jesse Sr preceded her in death 24 years ago after 63 years of marriage. She raised her family in the most loving and supportive way. She valued education not only for herself, but for her children. Her heart and soul touched many lives and we wish her the warmth of our love and the perpetual comfort and light of our Lord.
