Dorothy L. Roth

Whitten, James Grogan, Betty Anderson and Harold Grogan. Dorothy married the love of her life, Elmer LeRoy Roth in 1947. Prior to her marriage to Elmer, she worked as an Aircraft Riveter in Santa Monica, CA during the early years of World War II. Dorothy and Elmer were blessed with 3 children: daughter, Nancy Kay Roth Parten, and sons, John Michael better known as Mike Roth and Bryan Keith Roth.

Grandchildren are: Michelle McPhetridge, Stacey Price, Brandon Roth, Matthew Roth, Rebecca Roth Eucce and Christopher Roth. Great grandchildren are: Tyler McPhetridge, Matthew McPhetridge, Macey England, Jacob Roth, Dia Roth, Austin Eucce, Grady Eucce, Jackson Roth and Emma Roth.

Following the untimely passing of her husband Elmer on December 29, 1977, Dorothy worked in the cafeteria at Delano Elementary School until she became the baby sitter for her grandchildren

Rebecca and Christopher. Dorothy lived in Delano for 76 years, moving to Bakersfield in 1998 to stay with son Bryan and daughter-in-law Debbie.

Dorothy had quite an artistic talent doing pencil drawings of animals. Her art reflected her love of dogs. The main past time she enjoyed besides her art work was gardening for she truly had a green thumb! She enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden, harvesting fresh tomatoes each summer.

Dorothy was blessed with a long earthly life filled with the love of her family. She was a member of the Greatest Generation! Dorothy celebrated her heavenly homecoming with Jesus on January 18, 2019.
