Geneva Adell Petersen

Geneva Adell (Belcher) Petersen, 99 years old, of Mcfarland, passed away on September 27, 2023. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bob Petersen, and son Danny Petersen. She leaves behind her youngest sister, Marlene (Belcher) Upshaw, granddaughter, Cassie (Petersen) Price, great-grandson Benjamin Price, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who all love her very much.

She was born in Wetumpka, OK in 1924 and moved to California with her parents and 10 siblings as a young girl. She graduated from McFarland High School and married her High school sweetheart shortly thereafter. They lived together in McFarland where they raised their son until Bob's death in 1981. Geneva was an avid volunteer who cared deeply for her community. From her time spent at DRMC as a pink lady, her local polling place during election season, and her time as a Boy Scout Den Mother, along with many others, she was always there to lend her support. She will be missed immensely.

A visitation for Geneva will be held Monday, October 16, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, 707 Browning Road, Delano, CA 93215. A chapel service will occur Monday, October 16, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 707 Browning Road, Delano, CA 93215. A committal service will occur Monday, October 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
