It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Madison also known as “baby Madi”. Madison Nicole Fowler was born in Bakersfield California to Carla Jean Fowler and Rene Morales on July 5, 2004. Madison’s mother Carla Jean Fowler tragically passed on October 13th, 2017. Madison is survived by her siblings Alicia Rose Jones, Jeremiah Fowler, Kayden Michael Juan Tovar, Adam Lugo, Samuel Robert Fowler, and Serenity Grace Lee. As well as her aunts, uncles and grandmothers.
Madison died far too young. A child.
Madison was born at San Joaquin hospital and brought home to Delano California to live with Grandma Carla, Papa Sammy and her mom. Madison was a happy baby who rarely fussed. She loved the sound of people talking to her, the comfort of being held. Also, she enjoyed the joy of being the center of attention. As Madison aged she went to preschool at Headstart in Delano for 2 years. Also, she loved playing with her baby dolls. Madison loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding bikes, swimming, chasing her brother Kayden and following her mom. Madison was very bright early on and at the age of 7 she said she wanted to be a teacher. Madison would set up school classes for her cousins to play at home or at her aunts and uncles houses. Madison became a Junior Cadet at the age of 11 for Delano Police Department and was referred to as “Michael Fowler” As she continued to blossom, Madison loved to dance, rollerskate, join the family for events, and stay as active as possible.
In 2017, Madison moved in with her Aunt & Uncle, Tina and Juan Escalante, in Shafter, CA where she attended Richland Jr. High School & graduated the 8th grade. After graduating the 8th grade Madison moved to Shafter High School. Madison’s uncle Juan gave her the nickname Mimi. Madison enjoyed hanging out at the park with her friends and enjoyed drawing & coloring. Madison had a beautiful smile & a contagious laugh. Anyone that knew Madison, knew she never went nowhere without her phone because she enjoyed making Tik Toks. Madison always looked forward to going to car shows. She would help her uncle clean his lowriders and go cruising afterwards around Shafter. Madison's favorite food was boneless chicken & pizza. Madison had a sensitive side and often struggled with the loss of her Mother. To ease the pain. she would write songs to cope with her loss. Madison loved animals. She would try to bring strays home because she felt bad for the animals. The few years Madison lived with us, we saw Madison as our daughter. Madison often told her uncle that she would have loved to own an El Camino. Our Mimi will be greatly missed & NEVER FORGOTTEN!
The family will be wearing white ribbons to the Celebration of Life as a symbol of Madison's innocence and adolescence. The family encourages all who knew Madison to attend to share memories and celebrate her life.
