Maria Felicitas Guerrero

Maria Felicitas Guerrero was born on March 16, 1946, to Victoria Ibarra Cerda and Soltero Cerda in Matehuala, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. She passed at Delano District Skilled Nursing on April 22, 2022 at the age of 76.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years Gilberto Molina Guerrero; sister Cruz Oliva Cerda; children Gilbert Guerrero, Juan Guerrero, Veronica Bonner and Javier Guerrero; grandchildren Ryan, Jodie, Trisha, Isaiah, Laurenn, Joseph, Kiana, Kateena, Quentin and Ava; great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Maleena, Luke, Isabella, Tristan, Kieran, Theodora and Kai; in-laws Jocelyn, Yvonne, James, Sheena, Jorge, Gerardo and Maria. She is preceded by her mother and father, her brother Carlos Cerda and her nephew Carlos Jr. Cerda.

Maria attended and graduated high school in Matehuala, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. She and Gilberto married on August 10, 1967 and relocated their family to Delano, California in 1972, where she worked at Sun View Vineyard for over 30 years.

Maria was a hard-working, faithful, family-oriented woman. She was a great provider for her family and welcoming to all, no matter who you were or where you came from. Maria was happiest when surrounded by her family and especially when caring for her grandchildren—spoiling them to no end! Sundays were family and food filled with morning breakfasts that always included homemade tortillas and frijoles and homemade dinners never complete without a few sweet-filled treats.

It is with deep sadness we say goodbye to our mother and “Buela,” but the memories we have of her will live on and she will never be forgotten. The pain we have now stems from wanting her to still be in our lives, but we find comfort knowing that she is at peace and has begun her new life with the Lord, joining her family who have passed and are now with her in heaven.
