Robert was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend. He leaves behind his loving wife Jackie Manuel Geivet; his children Robert Jr, Raquel, Richard, Andre, Joshua, Kindra, Christian (CJ) and Joyce; 17 grandchildren; and 1 great- grandchild, all of whom were the pride and joy of his life. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Dely, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
A man of deep faith, Robert loved The Lord and carried that faith throughout his life. He was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, steady wisdom, and for always being happy. He was nonjudgmental, patient, and always willing to help others through life’s challenges. Rather than telling people what to do, he had a special gift for helping them think through their problems and find the right solution for themselves.
Robert attended elementary school in Richgrove, CA. He graduated from McFarland High School in 1978. During his high school years, he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. He was also very active in FFA. He often shared treasured memories of those days with his children and grandchildren, keeping those stories and experiences alive for future generations.
Robert was a correctional officer, he was an oilfield worker and dedicated more than 27 years of service to law enforcement. He proudly served as a police officer for the McFarland Police Department, Lindsay Police Department, and concluded his distinguished career with the Delano Police Department. Robert worked as a motorcycle officer and was also a member of the SWAT team for 13 years. His commitment to protecting and serving others reflected the same compassion and integrity that defined every part of his life.
Robert also earned a bachelor’s degree in ministry, a reflection of his devotion to faith and his desire to serve others in every way possible.
Outside of his work in ministry, Robert found joy in golfing, meeting up for weekly breakfast with friends, dancing, spending time with family and creating lasting memories with those he loved most.
