Takashi is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Chikako Kono; daughter Marisa Kono and her husband Gilbert Frutoz; son Douglas Kono; sister Mariko Nomura; nephew Craig Nomura and his wife Beverly and their son Ikaika and nephew Ian Nomura.

Takashi was preceded in death by his father Morima Kono and his mother Shizuko Kono.

A private family burial ceremony will take place later this year.
