Born in Franklin, La. Mrs. Fontenot lived in Singer. Her hobbies were puzzles, crocheting, gardening, canning, and baking. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Bloodworth and Gail (Jerry) Kendall all of Singer, La.; son, Lawrence J. (Jerry) Fontenot, Jr. of Conway, S.C.; brothers, Leonard Bourgeais of Lake Charles and Paul (Nevella) Janies,, Jr. of Houston, Tx.; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Palastron and Frances Janies; husband, Lawrence Fontenot; sisters, Rosemond Risher and Theresa Omelee Manuel and brother Donald Janies.
Her funeral service will be at 3:00pm Friday, October 30, 2015 in Hixson Snider Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Methvin officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
