Chris Allen Askew, 49, of Starks, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at his residence. He was born on August 21, 1971 in Lake Charles, LA. He enjoyed fishing, playing with all of his nieces and nephews, watching old movies (especially the old Westerns), and was good with naming tunes if he heard a couple seconds of the song, (name that tune show). He was a Jack of all Trades and a Master of none.
He is survived by his father, Larrie Don Askew of Starks; one sister, Lisa Joy Askew of Starks; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Chris is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Joy Ellison Askew; one brother, Donnal Wayne Askew, Sr.; and two sisters, Alice Ann Askew, and Crystal Alleen Askew.
Services will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 10:00am, with Rev. Al Woodard officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, beginning at 9:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Miller Annex Cemetery in Starks.
