Dwight David "Tinkus" StanleyStarks - Dwight David "Tinkus" Stanley, 66, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria, La. He was a lifetime resident of Starks and attended Lunita Pentecostal Church. “Tinkus” enjoyed watching Western Movies. He was a Vietnam Veteran. “Tinkus” was a very caring and generous person who would give you the shirt off his back and his pants if you needed them. He loved his family and friends, if you came to visit, be prepared to eat. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Ginger Stanley; mother, Nora Stanley of Starks; daughter Amanda Leann McCaughey and husband Thor of Vinton; son John David Stanley of Starks; sister, Sue Stanley and husband Gary of Starks; grandchildren, Jacob McCaughey, Zane McCaughey, Mallory Glenn, and Jessica Hightower and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Stanley Ogea. His funeral service will be at 2:00p.m. Sunday, October 20, in Lunita Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Roy Hoosier and Rev. Michael Broyles officiating. Burial will be in Hyatt Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 19 from 5:00 - 9:00p.m. and resume on Sunday at 10:00a.m. until service time at the church.
