Faye C Fontenot

She was born December 28, 1926 in Lake Charles, LA to Ralph and Alice (Gladwill) Olmsted. She married George Fontenot who preceded her in death. Her parents and one son Richard Fontenot also preceded her in death.

Surviving are five children, Sarah (Stephen) Manuel of Longville, LA; Constance (Harold) Tarou of Anacoco, LA; Harriet Fontenot of Surprise, AZ; David Fontenot of Anacoco, LA and Leslie (Iris) Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA.; three sisters, Betty Pentecost of Anacoco; Patricia (Bryant) Gore of Dry Prong, LA; and Loretta (Royce) Arthur of Lake Charles, LA and one brother, Ralph (Therese) Olmsted of New Iberia, LA. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Faye was a member of the Squyres Methodist Church in Ragley and was also a member of the United Methodist Woman's Organization.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy with visitation on starting at10:00 am until the beginning of service. The Rev. Heather Leyland will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
