Janette Renee Statum

She was born in Eureka, California and had lived in various places across the United States before moving to Louisiana and had been a resident of DeQuincy for the last 18 years. Janette enjoyed sewing, making clothes, and going to the Texas Renaissance Festival. She has a compassionate heart and loved taking care of her animals and helping others in need.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Thomas Statum of DeQuincy; her sons, Marshel Ellis of DeQuincy and Jonathan Ellis of Moss Bluff; and her siblings, Vickie Dronet of Westlake and Vance "Buddy" Ellis of Sulphur. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Ellis and Doris Meaux.
