Kay Towry was born in Huntsville, AL, to Wiley Howard Towry and Ara Celia Towry on February 24, 1949. She worked as a beautician for 20 plus years and for Turner Industries until her of retirement.
Kay Towry is survived by her son, Adam Pirtle and his wife Monica; brother, Phillip Towry; grandchildren, Ashton Pirtle, Trenton Pirtle; and hundreds of beautiful friends.
Kay Towry is preceded in death by her father, Wiley Howard Towry; mother, Ara Celia Towry; two sisters, Brenda Patterson, Peggy Sutherland; along with her daughter, April Pirtle.
A Celebration of Kay's life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 2:00pm, with Pastors Penny Blackburn and George Lee Glass officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00am at the funeral home on Saturday, until the time of the service. A private committal will be at a later date at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston, TX.
