Patsy Ruth Hyatt

DeQuincy--Patsy Ruth Hyatt, age 81, a life-long resident of DeQuincy, Louisiana died suddenly on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Active and loving all of her life, Pat will be remembered for her care and concern for others, especially her close knit family.

A faithful member of the DeQuincy Church of Christ she served the Lord for many years. She is survived by her husband, Ray Hyatt, Sr., with whom she shared 62 wonderful years. Others left to cherish her memory include three sons; Hank Hyatt and wife, Nanci of Sulphur; Rod Hyatt and wife Laura of Shreveport; David Hyatt and wife, Carleen of League City, TX., eight grandsons; Trea, Gary, Michael, Dustin, Matthew, Jesse, Patrick and Colin, one granddaughter; Lindy McMillan, four great grandsons; Conor, Jamie, Andrew and Kai.

A memorial service will be at the DeQuincy Church of Christ on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 2:00p.m. Ray and Joey Franks will officiate at the service. Burial will be in McFatter Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home. Visitation was Friday, September 10, 2010 at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home from 5-9p.m. and will resume on Saturday from 10a.m.-11:30a.m. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
