

Arnold was born in Fowler, Michigan, on July 7, 1932 to Dietrich and Esther (Zell) Korte. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954. On February 2, 1957, he married the love of his life, Judy Bradfield. Arnold worked at Fisher Body for 32 years, and also was co-owner of Cressman Excavating for 10 years. In his spare time he enjoyed wood carving and was a member of the Greater Lansing Wood Carvers. Arnold was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. Arnold is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Tammy (Ron) Baumgardner, and Teresa (Jack) Thompson II; grandsons, Jack (Amanda) Thompson III, Dietrich (Liz) Thompson, Dustin (Elisabeth) Lopez; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Roy Korte of Lakeland Florida; sister, Clarice (Doug) Hartsuff, of Ovid, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 511 E. Sturgis St., St. Johns, Michigan, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at DewItt Cemetery, DeWitt, Michigan.The family will also receive visitors Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 pm and from 6:00-8:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, Michigan. Memorial contributions in honor of Arnold may be made to DeWitt Area Fire Deptment, St. Johns Lutheran Church, or McLaren Home Care.
