Ben Gutierrez Jr.

On August 23, 2016, Ben Gutierrez Jr’s spirit was reunited with his loved ones in Glory after a long and faithful walk with the Lord. The last of a great family generation, he was preceded by 12 other dedicated brothers and sisters.

A son of immigrants growing up during the Depression, his story has many chapters; a shoe shine boy, a field hand, a line worker at Ford, and later both an engineer and entrepreneur. A highly decorated pacific-theater WWII veteran and ardent, life-long patriot. A political activist. A gifted athlete and baseball player. He had great love for the study and teachings of the Holy Bible, his entire family, and especially his wife and partner of 47 years, Francesca.

A memorial will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, September 18th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820. Long-time family friend, Pastor Carlos Liese will officiate.
