

A loving mother and grandmother to her son, Greg (Jamy) Leonard; daughter, Teresa Leonard; grandson, Chase Knapp; brother, Steven (Doris) Dunlap; sister, Carol (Richard) Wilt; sister-in-law, Kathy Dunlap; her aunts; also many nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gregory Dunlap.
Beverly graduated from Bath High School in 1965. She became a switchboard operator where she had to wear roller skates for her job. Beverly worked at the Shaftsburg Public Schools. She then worked as a secretary at the Michigan Laborers Training Fund. She also did contract work for General Motors. Beverly was also the owner of Nature’s Originals. She attended craft shows all over Michigan with her creations, and had a booth at The Little Red School House.
Spending time with her grandson, Chase brought her great joy. She was her daughter's Brownie Leader and her grandson's Awana Leader. Beverly had a strong faith and love of God. She attended Graham Church and Faith Church where she was a member of many Bible Groups. She also had the opportunity to go on a Missionary Trip to Morelia, Mexico. Beverly had many hobbies, she enjoyed being outdoors, picking berries, mushroom hunting, and spending time at the pond in her backyard. She had a garden every year and canned the food she grew. She loved cooking and trying new recipes to share with her family and friends. Beverly had a love of music, especially singing and dancing. She liked to travel and took a road trip to Florida with her grandson, Chase. She taught herself many things through books and loved to read. She also enjoyed spending time with her neighbors and friends, especially Linda Moffitt, John Conarton, Denny Wasson, Gary Durow and many others. Also her lifelong friend, Marilyn Ferrigan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Jesus Church, 11733 Old US 27, Dewitt, Michigan 48820. A luncheon will follow at Victor Township Hall, 6843 E. Alward Rd., Laingsburg, Michigan 48848.
Those desiring to may make a memorial contribution in Beverly’s honor may do so to Jesus Church.
