Dorothy Hawley Pratt

Born on April 23, 1919 to Harry and Grace (Brooks) Hawley in Johannesburg, MI, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2010 at the age of 91. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard A. Pratt; sons William Pratt, and Norman Pratt; and granddaughter Ellen Jean Pratt. She is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Foster of DeWitt, Sharon Scott of Wisconsin; 1 son, Richard Pratt of Clinton, Utah; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters. Dorothy loved spending time with her family and friends. She was active in her church for many years and was a wonderful mother to many people. A graveside service will be held at Horton Cemetery, Horton, MI on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., with a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. at Community of Christ Church, 1514 W. Miller Road, Lansing, with Elder James Reed officiating. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes (Lansing Chapel), 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to American Heart Association, Memorials and Tributes Lockbox, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, Il 60674 in memory of Mrs. Pratt.
