

Eva Maxine Larson, affectionately known as “Mac”, was born on May 2, 1927, in Tremont, Mississippi. She was called home on May 30, 2015, at the Mercy Hospital in Grayling, Michigan, She was the daughter of the late Jim and Bessie Davis Harbor. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Margaret Harbor, Dorothy Kennedy, Jimmie Lou Stone, Rosie Shotts, Mary Rye, and brothers, Jackie and Charlie Harbor.
Upon graduating from Tremont High School, she moved to Adrian, Michigan. She later moved to Okemos, Michigan, where she met and married Raymond Larson in June, 1968. Maxine retired as manager from Miller’s Dairy. After retiring, she enjoyed spending her time sewing and making dolls was her passion. Maxine had a generous spirit and enjoyed the simple things in life. Family was important to her and she looked forward to her weekly conversations with family members.
Maxine is survived by: her husband, Raymond Larson of East Lansing, Michigan; her sister, Joyce Akers (Charles) of Tremont, MS; her brother, Ray Harbor (Joan) of Fulton, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and aunt who cherished her family. She was a friend to everyone that knew her. Maxine’s memory will be forever imprinted on the hearts of her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Tremont on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at 3 p.m.
