Fred Henry Sanders

Fred Henry Sanders was born on July 8, 1927 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of the late Henry D. and Martha (Mielke) Sanders, and passed away on October 10, 2014 at the age of 87. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and a lifelong resident of DeWitt Township. He loved hunting and fishing. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David and Steven. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Monica Sanders; son, Tim Sanders; two grandsons, Gabriel Louis and Nikolas Fred Sanders; brother, Henry Sanders; sister Alberta Arens; sister-in-law, Helen Sanders; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing. The family will receive friends from 2:00~4:00 PM and 6:00~8:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI and also at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 14 at the church until the time of service.
