George Michael Anderson, Sr.

George Anderson Sr., 77 of DeWitt, Michigan, passed away suddenly on August 26, 2022. George is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; son, Michael Anderson, Jr. (Susan); step-sons, Chuck Dunn (Cyndi) and Chris Dunn; grandchildren, Alex Anderson, Kayla Carter and Caleb Carter; and extended family, Julie Dunn, Mike Dunn, Dillion Shepard, and Dean Haan. He was preceded in death by his father, David S. Anderson; mother, Fredna Anderson; and brother, David Anderson.

George was a retired LT from the US ARMY, retiree of General Motors, avid golfer and was adored by many family and friends. He had a huge heart and always wanted to help his family, friends (and even strangers) with his tips, knowledge and advice. George enjoyed meeting new people and took great pleasure in talking with everyone he met and making them feel welcomed.

For many years, George and Beverly traveled and wintered in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. As a couple, they enjoyed numerous activities such as: Happy Hour on the pier, playing cards, enjoying time with friends and playing golf.

A funeral service for George will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820, with visitation one hour prior from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
