Grant Richard Smith, age 60, of DeWitt, Michigan passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. He was born December 12, 1964. Grant served in the Army National Guard for 24 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel . He was an avid sports fan, especially University of Michigan football and basketball. He enjoyed music, art and movies, and was a Civil War buff.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa; children, Zak and Wyatt; mother, Nancy; sister, Wendy (Mike); nephew, Jake. He was preceded in death by father, Richard.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service. A reception will follow at Catholic Community of St. Jude.
