J. Elaine Offley Palmatier

Age 84, born September 10, 1926 in Woodland, MI to Wayne and Sarah (Wood) Offley, passed away on March 25, 2011. Elaine raised her family in Bath. She enjoyed time at their cottage, loved tending to her garden and flowers, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel J. Palmatier in 1989. Surviving is her loving family: daughters, Sharon (Larry) Fuller of Lake Odessa, MI, Darlene (Larry) Martin of Mason, MI, Diane (Terry) Christmas of Cadillac, MI, Debra (Michael) Chesney, Saginaw, MI; sons Gary

Palmatier of Charlotte, MI, Tim (Paula) Palmatier of Shaftsburg, MI; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Ron (Mary Ellen) Offley, and Ted (Joyce) Offley. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10 A.M. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI, with the Rev. Tom VanDyke officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Cemetery in Bath. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DeWitt Chapel.
