James Dennis (Jimmie) Fedewa, 41, of DeWitt died peacefully at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan on Dec 11, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was born December 8, 1969 in DeWitt to William and M. Joan (Steckschulte) Fedewa.

He attended Beekman Center and St Johns Public Schools – Special Education Center.

Jimmie lived the better part of his adult life at his DeWitt Schavey Rd. home with his housemates under the care of Saginaw Bay Services. Jimmie was happiest when both his families were present. His specialty was working his beads. Over the years, he especially loved his fresh-air chair rides up and down the sidewalks of Schavey Rd. with his families in tow.

Jimmie is now enjoying eternal happiness with his mother, M Joan, and brother, Eugene. who died before him. Besides his father, Bill of Chadwick Rd, DeWitt; his sister, Mary of Ann Arbor, his brother, Dan (Jackie Kostrzewski) and nieces Molly and Hope Fedewa of Grand Ledge, Jimmie leaves behind many relatives and friends.

On Tuesday, December 14 , 2010 at 10:00 AM, Jimmie's families will greet their relatives and friends at Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt. Catholic Liturgy, with body present, will be celebrated at 11:00 AM before Jimmie's body is buried alongside his mother's at the DeWitt Cemetery located directly across the street from St. Jude Community Center.

Family reception and dinner will follow the burial at the same St Jude Community Center.

Contributions, if any, to Schavey Road Group Home (c/o William Fedewa, 3263 W. Chadwick Rd, DeWitt, MI 48820) in gratitude for all the wonderful home care Jimmie received over the past 18 years. Funds can be for special activities not covered by insurance programs. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel.
