Janet M. Days passed away of multiple myeloma on December 25, 2011. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on September 23, 1941 to Fred and Bertha (Sedlar) Tritten. She and her family moved to Lansing at an early age. She graduated from Sexton High School in 1959. Before retiring from the State of Michigan, she met her soul mate Lloyd C Days (Chuck). They spent many wonderful years together. Their favorite fishing trips to Canada twice a year were the best.
She leaves behind her husband Chuck the love of her life, brother: Fred/ Eunice Tritten, mother: Bertha Sedlar-Tritten-Egleston (friend Ziegfreid Henn), sons: Bill Barnum (friend Amy), Mike/ Terica Barnum, Dan/ Shannon Barnum, Matt/ Alicia Barnum, daughters: Kelly/ Scott Herrick, Jillane Bruin, and daughter-in-law Carmon Barnum. She was preceded in death by her father, infant son Greg, and grandparents Bill/ Mary Tritten. She also leaves behind her stepchildren: Sherri Days, Margee/ Fernando Ortega, Archie Days, Lloyd C Days Jr, Robert/ Andrea Days, twenty-two grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Her best friends: Margie/ Joe Bedes, Bob/ Jan Rail, Bob/ Lennie Sparks. “I leave all my love and may the Holy Spirit watch over all of you.”
The family would especially like to thank Karen Sucheck and the amazing staff at the Mid-Michigan Hospice House for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be held at The Catholic Community of St Jude, 801 N. Bridge St., Dewitt, Michigan on Thursday, December 29, 2011. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, mass at 11:00 am, with lunch immediately following. Her wishes are to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Building Fund, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt, MI 48820 or an orphanage of your choice in memory of Janet. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes.
