Kenneth Albert Sanborn

DeWitt, MI

Born December 27, 1922 in Wacousta, MI, the son of Raymond and Mae Alberta (Smiley) Sanborn, died on December 28, 2010, a day after his 88th birthday. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, infant children Joel and Joyce, and siblings, Earl, John and Alice. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Delia (Keusch) Sanborn; daughter, Judy (Gale) Stevens, Sandra Hornby; sons James Sanborn, Robert (Christine) Sanborn, Lawrence (Mary) Sanborn; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Kenneth was very proud of their home he built for his family. He worked for Wonder Bread as a delivery man for 20 years, and then retired from MSU after 20 years in the maintenance department. Kenneth enjoyed playing sports throughout his life. Spending time with his loving family was very important to him. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI with the Rev. Pancratius Kerketta as celebrant. Rite of committal will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI. Visitation will be Sunday, January 2, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E.
