Larry Thelen

Larry was a dedicated family man and hard worker, who retired from GM after 30 years of service. Larry could build and fix just about anything. He loved to be outside in the woods and especially in the sunshine at Houghton Lake. He loved his dog, Pete. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Rosemary (Bussema) Thelen; his children, Becky (Jeff) Barrett, Marcie (Scott) Holman, Tracy (Jon) Farthing, Stacy (Andy) Case, Marilee (Mark) Hawkins, Brandi (Chris) Helmer; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild on-the-way; and many brothers and sisters. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St. in DeWitt, with Rev. Robert Irish presiding. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt, and one hour prior to mass at church on Monday.
