Lindsay was born on August 15, 1977 in Lansing, Michigan to Timothy and Cynthia (Harvey) Francis. Raised in Charlotte, MI, she attended Charlotte Public Schools, graduating in 1995. Lindsay received her undergraduate degree in Interior Design from Michigan State University.
Married to Robert M. Nakfoor in 2007, Lindsay became mother to three children, Michael (12), Robert (10) and Mia (9). She is also survived by her dear sibling, Scott (Kate) Francis, father and mother‐in‐law Michael and Marie Nakfoor, sister‐in‐law Katina (Rudy) Litterini, nieces Nellie, Harper, and Sophia, nephew Noah, and a host of friends. She was a dedicated and loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend, with genuine care for others. Lindsay was a lover of animals and the great outdoors, had great style, and her greatest joy was time with her family and friends at Higgins Lake and Torch Lake. She was also a talented artist and musician and fostered creativity in her children.
She loved to travel – In the last two and half years, she saw Alaska and California on a spiritual seeking journey that gave her great peace and reward. She regularly visited St. Pete Beach, Florida and spent time in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Lindsay lived life to the fullest, while managing colon cancer with perseverance and dignity over the past seven years.
Lindsay's family will receive guests at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820, on Monday, February 28, from 3‐7 pm.
