Born on June 1, 1932 to George and Gladys (Dunham) Poulos in Lansing, Michigan. In 1947, Mary met her loving husband Bill and they shared 65 years together raising their six wonderful children.
Mary was always proud of her Greek Heritage and cherished her childhood memories with her Greek relatives and family friends. Mary’s strong religious faith was rooted in her baptism as an infant at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, leading to a lifelong love for the church which she shared with her father. She developed her exquisite taste in women’s fashion, working as a young woman at the top women’s clothing store in downtown Lansing “The Style Shop”, which led to her lifelong passion for shopping.
She was the most devoted, wife, mother and grandmother, and a Rock to all of us. Her love touched each of us in a manner that cannot be described by words. She will live in our hearts forever. We love you Mom!
She was predeceased by her parents, brother, George John Poulos, and sister, Katherine Brown.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Bill of 65 years, her children, Gail (Terry) Martin, Marcy (Daniel) Wickens, Michelle (Michael) Kenney, Bill Jr (Vickie) Geisler, Greg (Barb) Geisler, and Tina Gaugier; her 14 grandchildren, Christopher Martin, Angela (Ben) Eiseler, Jonathan and Caroline Wickens, Christina Siongco, Stephanie (Chuck) Jarvis, Alexandra (Jeff) Sachs, Alexandria (Nicholas) Haechler, Lauren Geisler, Nicholas and Joseph Geisler, Emily, Elizabeth and William Gaugier; her ten great grandchildren; her niece and two nephews; and her lifelong best friend Bonnie Cook.
The Family is grateful for the loving care Mary received from the Great Lakes Hospice Team.
The Funeral Service will take place on Monday October 8, 2018 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00 am, 1701 East Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48912.
