Raymond Gerald Gustafson, age 83 of DeWitt and formerly of Lansing, MI passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He was born on May 9, 1938 in Lansing, MI the son of Walter and Ruby (Campbell) Gustafson.
Raymond served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from General Motors after 36 years and was a member of the UAW. Raymond enjoyed woodworking and amateur radio. He would travel all over taking photographs of the many lighthouses in Michigan. One of his favorite pastimes was taking road trips with his favorite companion, his dog Duchess.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Katie (Brian) Benish, his great-grandchildren, Logan, Caleb, Tyler and Aubrey Benish, and daughter-in-law, Penny Gustafson. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janet Gustafson, his son Raymond Lee Gustafson, and sister, Marie.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home DeWitt with Rosa Fedewa officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI.
