Ronald C. Mull passed away Friday morning, October 28, 2011. He was born in Lansing on August 2, 1936 to the late Ralph A. and Emma B. (Robinson) Mull. He was a 1955 graduate of DeWitt High School and retired in 1994 from Granger Construction where he worked for 30 years as a construction superintendent on many large projects in the greater Lansing and mid-Michigan area. He was active in the former DeWitt Community Church and was very active in many of the community’s civic organizations such as the DeWitt Memorial Association and served for 35 years as a volunteer firefighter in DeWitt. He was a loyal fan of DeWitt High School athletics, and enjoyed watching his grandsons and others play sports. Ron was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed trapping the local ponds and streams for muskrat and mink. He shared a cabin with other local friends in the Upper Peninsula where he enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and black bear. Ron was known DeWitt as grandpa or Dad to countless neighborhood kids, and will be sorely missed. He is survived by Margie, his wife of 55 years; children, Mike (Tessie) Mull, Ginger (Jeff) Holzhausen, and Bobbi Ann (Dan) Hill; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Ione (late Dale) Welch of Vestaburg; brother, Richard (Leslie) Mull of Lansing; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 11:30 AM at Maranatha Baptist Church, 2300 N. Waverly Road, Lansing with Pastor Glenn Ray, officiating. There will be a luncheon at the church following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to DeWitt Area Fire and Rescue in memory of Ron. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt, MI.
