

A 64-year resident of DeWitt, Rosalie was the proud owner of, "Hair Fashions by Rosalie" for 50 wonderful years and was previously employed with Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel for 14 years. Rosalie was also a charter member at St. Jude Catholic Church in DeWitt and is fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her as the nicest woman anyone could ever meet.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Denise Nelson, Chris Ankney, Andrea (Steve) Vanderske, and Mark (Julie) Ankney; grandchildren, Rebecca (Matt) Smith, Donald Nelson, Ben (Lauren) Vanderske, Melissa Vanderske, and Brent (Morgan) Ankney; great-grandson, Jasper Ankney; and sisters, Georgie (Pat) Kelly and Sister Georgianna Simon CSJ. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald; parents, Alfred and Eva Simon; brothers, Paul and Hilary; sister, Marie; and brother-in-law, Alvin.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Doug (Ali) Vettraino for always being there, Mom's neighborhood family, Gunnisonville Meadows, Sparrow Health Systems, and Careline Hospice.
A visitation for Rosalie will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 801 N Bridge St., Dewitt, MI 48820. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, April 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at St. Jude. Following Mass, Rosalie will be laid to rest in the City of Dewitt Cemetery, 780 N. Bridge St., Dewitt, MI 48820.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rosalie's memory may be made to Careline Hospice Care, 103 S Jackson St., Suite 200, Jackson, Michigan 49201 US or to the hospice of your choice.
