Today, a friend found out I knew Rosalie, so she informed me of this dear lady’s passing. (Lately, I have not been checking the obituaries and have been avoiding Facebook.) 

I knew Rosalie all my life through Church, but saw less of her the last 17 years after I moved out of DeWitt. Also, she did my grandmother’s hair for about 30 years, maybe more. 

Rosalie always had a warm smile and kind words for me.  I’m very thankful for her love.

Offering my prayers for her repose and for consolation, hope, and faith for her family and closest friends.

The Lady always had to have lipstick on in public.  I loved Mom’s sense of humor .  Will truly miss the laughs we all had with Her.   

The world lost a beautiful light on Monday. My Grandma was always kind, always polite, always loving.  Her love knew no end.  In her last days she told everyone over and over how much she loved us.  She said, “I hope I told you all enough I loved you, you’re my family.  I love my family. “ There has never been a time in my life I questioned if my Grandma loved me or if she was proud of me.  She told me all the time.  She told me by saying it, and more importantly she told me by her actions. I will miss everything about her. I was blessed with almost 40 years of her love, and for that I will be forever thankful. There is no greater legacy than the one she has left, love without measure. 

I remember the fun we all had at the cottage.

It was a very sad moment for me to finally realize and let it sink in that my Mother in law has passed.  My Mother in law touched so many lives and had an unmatched kindness in her heart.  

I loved her smile, that told everyone she gave that smile to a welcome comfort.

I loved her strength and courage that she would remind me came from God.

I loved her classic look that always came with matching lipstick.

I love her son that I married with her blessing.

I loved her....

Nothing can ever take away a love that the heart holds dear.

Words will never accurately express how much I will miss my beautiful Grandma. The kindness, love and support she always gave me will never be able to be replaced. I’m grateful to have been gifted with almost 28 years of knowing her. I’m grateful for every trip to the cabin, every hot dog/root beer float had in Clare, every car ride, every game of marbles, every book read in silence together and every second I was blessed to have spent with her. Ever since I can remember, she would call me her angel. Now she is mine. 

I was privileged to have three wonderful sisters who were such great examples of how to live life.  I will miss Rosalie so very much as will my husband Pat. Our children and Grandchildren have only the best of memories of her.  She is in a better place with Our Lord, Donald, Hiliary, Marie and my parents,  Alfred and Eva Simon.
