

Thomas Samuel Hagy, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 84. A resident of East Lansing, Michigan, Thomas was born on June 27, 1941, to the late Fielden and Ruth Hagy.
Tom was a devoted husband to Lois K. Hagy, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. He was the dear father of Camie (Troy) Kesler, Jason (Teresa) Hagy, Thayne (Misti) Brayton, and Tom (Alisa) Brayton. He was a proud Papa to Cody (Janell) Kesler, Taylor (April) Kesler, Kasey Kesler (Kristine Kucera), Lyndsey (Colin) Bleech, Josh Brayton, and Allie (Parker) Reid. He was a cherished Great-Papa to Mackenzie, Tanner, Cole, and Allie Kesler. Tom was a caring brother to Pat Jury and is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Wanda, Johnny, Oggie, George, Maryann, Robert, and Fred.
Tom retired from the Board of Water and Light after 25 years of dedicated service. He proudly served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne. His passions included fishing, hunting, RV traveling, and outdoor recreation. He was actively involved in BMX racing with his son, Jason, and worked alongside his family cutting and selling firewood. He was known for his world-famous biscuits and gravy and his peanut butter fudge, Tom also enjoyed bowling with his co-workers. He was a long-time member of the American Legion Post 412 in Bath, MI, and shared a special connection with his daughter, gazing at the moon together. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
A man of faith, Tom was a member of Bath Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 1 pm at Bath Baptist Church, 13527 Webster Road, Bath, MI 48808, with Pastor Gib Hale presiding.
Visitation will be at the church beginning at 11 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bath Twp., MI, with Military Honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post 412, Bath, MI.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Capital Area Down Syndrome Association (Please find link below).
