Our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on July 11, 1933 in Muskegon, MI to Theodore and Anna (Berghuis) Geisler.
Bill attended West Jr. high School and Sexton High school in Lansing where he met the love of his life, Mary Poulos. They married in 1953 and enjoyed 65 wonderful years together traveling to their condo in Singer Island, FL and later on in Scottsdale, AZ.
Bill was an excellent trumpeter and an outstanding golfer – winning many tournaments and always willing to display his trophies. Golf was his passion and he barely missed a day of playing. He truly enjoyed watching and playing with his grandsons right up to his final days. He was a member of the Lansing Country Club, Walnut Hills Country Club and the University Club of MSU.
Bill studied Engineering at Michigan State University and had a successful career working at Oldsmobile Division until his retirement in 1992.
His family was the most important part of his life and he always looked forward to every occasion that brought them together.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary; parents; and his brother, Gary. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Gail (Terry) Martin, Marcy (Dan) Wickens, Michelle (Mike) Kenney, Bill, Jr. (Vickie) Geisler, Greg (Barb) Geisler, and Tina Gaugier; grandchildren, Chris (Gayana) Martin, Angela (Ben ) Eiseler, Jonathan and Caroline Wickens, Christina Kenney, Stephanie (Chuck) Jarvis, Alexandra Kenney, Alexandria (Nick) Haechler, Lauren Geisler, Nick and Joe Geisler, Emily, Elizabeth and Will Gaugier; 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
