William Ambrose Oberst, Jr., 75, of Bath, Michigan, passed away March 28, 2014 in Lansing, Michigan. Bill was born August 27, 1938 in Lansing, Michigan to the late William Ambrose, Sr. and Theresa (Starr) Oberst. Bill loved being outside, traveling to the Upper Peninsula to camp, and visiting his many friends. He never went anywhere without his dog, Murphy, and that is how most people remember him. Bill spent many hours working and restoring many antique vehicles.

Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Suzanne Elisabeth; his parents; sister, Patricia Ann; son, Phillip L.; and brother-in-law, Tony Laforgia. Surviving to cherish his memory are his second wife, Janet L.; sisters, Marybeth Laforgia and Nancy (Jim) Hepfer; sons, William A. (Tracy) III, Stephen E., and Andrew K. (Heather); grandchildren: Wm. Nicholas (Emily), Kristin (Adam), Jacob, Jennifer, Joshua, Ryan Jamie, and Tyler; great-grandson, Noah; and step-children: Tammy (Dan) Baird, Chelsea, Nathan, James Parker, Brian (Kelly) Parker, Ashlynn, and Emma.
